EPA has found that children who breathe secondhand smoke are more likely to suffer from:
- bronchitis
- wheezing and coughing
- more ear infections
- more frequent and severe asthma attacks
- more likely to develop asthma
- higher frequency of colds and flu
- more likely to develop pneumonia
According to the National Cancer Institute, secondhand smoke is linked to:
- Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- Development of asthma
- Behavioral problems in children
